Welcome to WCA Foundation |
|
| Guidelines WCA Foundation is an eclectic grantmaker and awards grants to a wide variety of organizations in the state of Minnesota, with special consideration given to organizations located in the seven-county metro area. Grants are limited to nonprofit organizations which have a 501(c)(3) tax designation and which operate programs designed to benefit economically disadvantaged persons. Grants may be awarded for (but are not limited to) battered women's programs, subsidized housing programs, programs for homeless persons, recovery programs, day care subsidies, children's and youth programs, scholarships for education or jobs training, and programs for immigrants. About two-thirds of the grants are legally restricted to programs that help women achieve or sustain self-sufficiency. WCA does not make multi-year grants. However, grant recipients may re-apply for a grant for the same or a different program after 12 months have elapsed following the receipt of a grant and after WCA has received a follow-up report on the use of the grant. | |
